Dyna-Linc is a software development and billing services company, located in Indianapolis, Indiana, that develops, sells, and supports billing software and billing services specifically for the EMS/Ambulance industry. We support customers all over the United States, falling into the following main categories:

• Municipal (tax-based) EMS/Ambulance operations, such as fire department-based service providers,
• Private ambulance services, and
• Billing service companies that perform the billing function for EMS/Ambulance operations.

At their discretion, customers may fully or partially outsource their billing activities to our Billing Services operation if they do not wish to perform the billing function in-house. When using our software, customers even have the option of “seamlessly” transferring the billing function to Dyna-Linc on a temporary basis, then transferring their data back to their in-house operation.

Dyna-Linc provides training in the use of the EMS Management Billing software. We also offer consulting services, including operational reviews of a customer’s existing billing operations with resulting recommendations for process improvement.

All of our software runs in the Microsoft Windows™ environment using Microsoft’s SQL Server database engine for data storage and retrieval.

EMS BILLING SOFTWARE

The EMS Management Billing software package runs in the Microsoft Windows™ environment and provides the following major functions:

• Capture the EMS/Ambulance run data necessary to support billing.
• Capture patient demographics.
• Produce 1500 claim forms for insurance billing.
• Produce patient invoices and statements for patient pay accounts.
• Track and report account balances.
• Create HIPAA-compliant 837p electronic submission claim files.
• Post payments and write-offs.
• Create various reports including Accounts/Receivable, Payment Register, Revenue Analysis, and Account Management.
• Import data from other systems using the NEMSIS/XML format.
• Import data from the FireHouse™ fire department management system.

The EMS Management Billing system can operate on a single-user, stand-alone workstation or scale up to multiple users on several workstations. It also offers multi-company capabilities within a single database.

Data is stored in Microsoft’s SQL Server™ database engine, supporting all versions including Desktop Edition/SQL Express.

Our minimum hardware requirements are as follows:

• Processor: Pentium® 4 running at 2.4 Ghz.
• Memory: 1 GB.
• Disk: at least 2 GB of free disk space.
• Video: Graphics card and monitor must run at 1024 by 768 resolution or higher.

Also, high-speed (cable or DSL) internet access is required for support purposes.

EMS BILLING SERVICE

EMS Billing Services will perform any level of ambulance billing for fire departments, private ambulance services, and not-for-profit ambulance operations. Our billing operation acts like your off-site billing department. The major services we provide include:

• Entering data from ambulance run sheets that you provide.
• Filing insurance claims.
• Billing patients their remaining balance after insurance coverage is exhausted.
• Obtaining insurance data from patients when necessary.
• Working with patients to help them fulfill their financial obligation to pay.
• Sending electronic submission claim files.
• Posting payments from EOB (explanation of benefit) forms and remittance files.
• Producing management reports which our customers receive on a monthly basis.

Our goal is to minimize the time between the service date and the date that payment is received, while maintaining good patient and customer relations. Our billing staff will always treat your patients as if they were our family.

Typically, your fees are based on revenues collected. Also, please note that Dyna-Linc never handles your money – payments are made directly to you, with remittance files and copies of EOBs and checks being sent to Dyna-Linc for payment posting.

If you choose to purchase our software, you also have the option of easily transferring data from in-house billing operations to Dyna-Linc for “out-sourced” billing activities, either wholly or partially, at your discretion. Dyna-Linc uses the EMS Management Billing software system in our billing services operation.
